Employment accident insurance

The Employment Accident Insurance

is compulsory pursuant to the Regulation on compulsory insurance of workers and employees against the risk of an employment accident.

The employers are obliged to insure their workers and employees

whose jobs pose a threat for their life and health.

Upon a signed insurance contract and against payment of an insurance premium Armeec Insurance JSC shall be liable for the life and health of the insured persons and shall cover the risk of employment accident.

The compulsory insurance of workers and employees against employment accident is concluded at the expense of the employer. 

The sum insured is

fixed on the basis of the monthly gross wages of the insured workers and employees at the time of taking out the insurance. According to the Regulation on compulsory insurance of workers and employees against the risk of an employment accident the minimum sum insured per person for death and permanent disability resulting from an employment accident  amounts to 7 (seven) annual gross (i.e. 84 monthly) salaries of the worker or the employee.  The minimum sum insured for temporary disability is 1 (one) monthly salary.

Validity of the insurance

The insurance is valid for events occurring on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and classified as employment accidents according to the Regulation on establishment, investigation, registration and reporting of employment accidents.

Operative period

The operative period of the insurance is minimum one month and maximum one year.
