Environmental initiative of Armeec
The company donates funds from its casko policy for protection of Saker Falcon
At the beginning of November 2012 Armeec launched the project "Let us bring back the Saker Falcon in Bulgaria". The company donates 0.50 lev from each casko policy to support the initiative of the Environmental Federation Green Balkans to restore the Saker Falcon population in Bulgaria. In the past the Saker Falcons were common and widely distributed in Bulgaria. Unfortunately, this species is currently threatened worldwide and it has completely disappeared in our country. The Saker Falcon is included in a number of international environmental conventions, in the Biodiversity Act and the Red Book of Bulgaria. The reintroduction is extremely difficult and long process that produces real results after many years of effort. Among the priorities of Armeec as a socially responsible company is the preservation of the unique natural heritage of Bulgaria. The new environmental initiative of the market leader in motor casko proves its commitment to biodiversity conservation and reasonable use of natural resources. On 1 November 2012 the CEO of Armeec visited the Wildlife Rescue Center in Stara Zagora, where together with the Green Balkans management, local government representatives and donors launched the project "Let us bring back the Saker Falcon in Bulgaria".
