Medical insurance of foreigners in Bulgaria
The Medical Insurance of Foreigners in Bulgaria covers any foreign citizens residing on short-term or long-term basis in the Republic of Bulgaria, or transiting through the country.
- Territorial validity
The insurance is valid only for the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.
- Risks covered
The following risks are covered under the insurance:
• medical expenses, resulting from an accident and/or an acute disease;
• repatriation, resulting from an accident and/or an acute disease;
• emergency dental care;
• death, resulting from an accident.- Insurance indemnity
The sum insured per person amounts to BGN 60,000 and is determined as per the Ordinance on the general conditions, the minimum sum insured, the minimum insurance premium and the order for conclusion of compulsory medical insurance for foreigners on short-term or long-term stay in the Republic of Bulgaria, or transiting through the country.
Armeec Insurance JSC shall reimburse in full the expenses actually made within the agreed limit of liability, without applying a deductible.
- Extras
The Medical Insurance of Foreign Visitors in Bulgaria provides assistance for the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria. A reliable insurance protection is offered to the insured persons through the assistance cover via 24-hour services of an emergency centre and a free hotline.
Upon occurrence of an insured event medical services are rendered to the insured free of charge in medical centres and hospitals at all seaside and mountain resorts as well as in all big towns throughout the country.
