Armeec Insurance JSC insures

the public liability of any natural person or legal entity, defined as trader in the meaning of the Commercial Act for damages caused to third parties in the course of the hotel or restaurant activities performed in own or leased tourist establishments, specified in the policy.

The basic cover comprises all sums within the agreed limits of indemnity, which the insured shall be liable to pay as compensation as a result of claims made by third parties for bodily injury (including death, disease and disability) and/or property damage, occurring within the period of insurance. The policy will indemnify also all expenses for claims settlement incurred with the consent of the insurer.

Subject to indemnity shall be only damages caused to guests and/or visitors of the tourist establishment(s) (including places of accommodation and entertainment, eating places and/or centres and outlets where other tourist services are offered).

The insurance can be extended to cover also damages caused to third parties, as follows:

  • Outside the area of the establishment but on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria during transportation of guests and/or visitors of the tourist establishment using means of transport of the insured;
  • Loss of property (in safe or vault) of guests and/or visitors resulting from burglary or robbery;
  • Material damage to motor vehicles (excluding theft and robbery), which are owned or used by guests and visitors of the tourist establishment, occurring in the secured parking lot of the tourist establishment as a result of parking and other manoeuvres performed by employees of the tourist establishment.

The insurance premium shall be fixed on the basis of the agreed limits of indemnity, the category, the number of beds in the insured hotel and/or seats at the restaurant.

In case of a valid claim the insurance indemnity shall be fixed on the basis of an out-of-court agreement between the insured and the injured party, approved by the insurer. If such an agreement is not reached, the indemnity will be payable on the basis of an enforced court decision.
