Martin Choy invited to the 24 hours of Le Mans
The Race will take place this weekend on the legendary circuit
Martin Choy can become the first Bulgarian to compete in the prestigious motorcycle race. The star of GLOBUL Racing Team was invited by penz13.com because one of their backup pilots could not compete. In the free trials Choy will compete for a spot on the race rosters attempting with the three world famous pilots on the team – Didier van Keymeulen (Belgium), Steve Mercer (England) and Pedro Vallcaneras (Spain). Choy impressed the management of the German team at the Oschersleben 8-Hour Circuit of the World Series in Oschersleben, Germany two weeks ago when he was riding for Suzuki Italy.
Martin Choy is already at the circuit in France but he told us the following:
I am very excited at the opportunity to ride on this circuit let alone on one of the greatest competition in the world. I feel that this invitation is a compliment for Bulgarian motorsports. It came from the team that won the world championship in 2012 in the SST 1000 class and title contender this season.
Penz13.com is one of the two BMW factory teams that will compete at Le Mans this weekend. The pilots will be using the 2015 model in the race.
